This AB block copolymer contains a hydrophilic mPEG block covalently attached to a hydrophobic PLA block, enabling the formation of stable nano-assemblies ideal for encapsulating both hydrophobic and hydrophilic APIs.
mPEG-PLA is widely used in solubility enhancement, controlled-release formulation, and parenteral drug delivery because of its biodegradability, excellent safety profile, and predictable degradation to PEG, lactic acid, and CO₂.
